Bruce Catton joked that even as a kid, Grant would take a different route to and from school, already showing an aversion to retracing his steps. That's probably about the only personality trait that Grant and I have in common. I prefer circle routes to going back the way I came. And yet, if such a route existed (on a stream, it's hard to imagine, but work with me), I wouldn't have gotten this shot, now would I?
