Colorado and Utah - August 2006

And so, to Glenwood Springs. Glenwood's a nice, funky little town. At least it would still be nice if someone hadn't decided to make it stoner central. And apparently, the Colorado river bank is as inviting to bums as Cherry Creek is in Denver. Still, the scenery's spectacular; the hot springs and pool are still open and widely used, someone's opened up a ski lift overlooking the town and the valley, and the caves have been open for years now.

Oh that? That's Mt. Sopris and the Roaring Fork River. There are some trails down to the river. What's the worst that could happen? Some biker gang looking to score points off the Jew-boy. I judged the likelihood low and trekked down to the river bank. (Sorry no pictures - it was Shabbat.)
